Who is Upgrade Home Services?

We are a local, family-owned HVAC contractor. We started in 2002 and have stayed focused on homes in the South Bay and the Peninsula: older houses with furnaces, wall heaters and original ductwork, condos with tight spaces, and newer homes moving to heat pumps. Our crew is our own. When you book with us, the people who come to your home work for Upgrade Home Services, not a subcontractor.

What does Upgrade Home Services do?

• Cooling: AC repair, replacement, tune-ups and zoning systems.
• Heating: furnace and wall heater repair, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits and duct repair.
• Water heaters: tank, tankless and heat pump water heaters, maintenance and replacement.
• Indoor air quality: Rotobrush air duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning.
• Maintenance: yearly tune-ups and the Comfort Club maintenance plan.

How do we work with homeowners?

1. We listen first. A technician looks at your system and asks what you have noticed before suggesting anything.
2. You get a clear price. Repairs are priced before any work begins. New and replacement systems come with a free, written estimate.
3. Honest options, no pressure. We explain repair and replacement side by side, and we only recommend what your home needs.
4. Paperwork handled. For new systems we handle the permit and any required HERS testing.
5. We finish the job. We test everything before we leave and show you how it works.

They were honest, very pleasant to work with and they did not try to upsell us anything we don’t actually need like some other companies we talked to. They are a hidden gem here in Milpitas.

Is Upgrade Home Services licensed?

Yes. We hold California contractor license CSLB #1066776, with the B (general building) and C-20 (warm-air heating, ventilating and air-conditioning) classifications. You can look up any contractor’s license on the CSLB license check page.

Which brands do we install and service?

We install the brand that fits your home and budget, including Amana, Carrier, Payne, Goodman, Daikin and Mitsubishi, and we repair and maintain every major brand.

Where do we work?

Our shop is in Milpitas, and we serve 22 cities in Santa Clara, San Mateo and southern Alameda counties, including Milpitas, San Jose, Santa Clara, Sunnyvale, Fremont, Palo Alto and Redwood City. We are open Monday through Saturday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and closed Sunday.
